Today we're FOUR YEARS IN (to our marriage) and it feels like forever and 5 minutes all at the same time.
One of the most fun parts of being a couple in love + music is the opportunity to collaborate with so many creative people!
Also, four years in and I still believe my wedding dress is the prettiest dress in the world so any chance I get to walk around feeling like a woodland fairy all over again... I'm there, like, yesterday.
When our friends Michaela and Caroline asked us if we would be willing to do a styled shoot in the middle of the woods under a waterfall with my wedding dress... the answer was the fastest HECK YES. Not to mention the fact that they were also partnering with an incredible Nashville florist, Rosemary & Finch!
We drove a few hours into what felt like the middle of nowhere to Crossville, Tennessee, loaded the bags of supplies on our shoulders (including the wedding dress and a guitar) and hiked down the steep slope to the base of Ozone Falls.
Being in the woods is kind of like being home to me, so it was the best afternoon adventure full of bare feet on the rocks, re-reading our vows with the waterfall in the background, and obviously acting like a couple in love (the best part!).
Did I forget to mention that this was all in support of their new business, Promise Mountain, a project that focuses on serving couples who work to stay in love with photography for vowel renewals, etc.?
Needless to say we loved everything about this shoot and the outcome is straight FIRE. Keep scrolling to see the stunning photos!!!
P.S. I dare you not to cry at this song while you scroll!
Basically, living my dream.
We actually couldn't think of a song for this moment, so we ended up singing wrong lyrics to Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" under our breath, hence the laughing.
I love that this is almost identical to a picture we have of him watching me walk down the aisle at our wedding. #STUD #ALLMINE
My miracle wedding dress:
THE DISCONTINUED OLIVIA GOWN IN Oatmeal from Watters' WTOO Collection.
This shot reminds me of the classic head-on wedding shots you'd find at your grandparents' house. #LOVE
Totally can't tell that we're slightly terrified of falling down the cliff behind this log. #WORTHIT
Re-reading our wedding vows (which we love!).
